Abstract. The capacity of use of soils of the Eastern sector of the Natural Park Mountain ranges of Cardeña and Montoro has been determined, considering necessary the study of the same one for the territorial arrangement. For it they have studied characteristic intrinsic to the ground, to means and the climate of the zone. The results have been treated with a Geographic Information System (GIS) to make cartography documents. The distribution of the different uses that can have the Environmental Units (Parras, 2.001) in this area indicates that no with capacity of use exists very elevated (Class A), only the 1.7% has capacity of high use and 9.9% have moderate capacity of use; whereas 84.3% have low or very low capacity (Classes D and E), being the factors that limit the use the thickness and in smaller degree the slope.
