Abstract

Opposite to the classical runoff generation models (Horton and Hewlett), and therefore, related to the infiltration soils behavior, several authors coincide to give hydrological differences in Mediterranean areas. Such models attend to what is called “discontinuous hortononian” (Calvo Cases, 2003) or mixed (Imeson & Laveeh, 1998). Both attribute a differencial hydrodynamic behavior along climate gradient and even in the same slope, what it will have a repercussion in the soil erosion processes. The present research analyses the soil hydrological behaviors at the Montes de Málaga at five different landuse, attending to the variability along the study slopes at each one of them.

Key words: Soil hydrology, infiltration, physic soil properties.
