Abstract:

Oxidation-reduction potential (Eh), iron (Fe 2+ ) and manganese (Mn 2+ ) were measured seasonally during 23 months in two Vertic Argialbolls of the Pampean Region. The soils, located along a hydro-toposequence, are non-hydromorphic (imperfectly drained) and slightly hydromorphic (poorly drained). No close relationship was found with seasonal rainfall or with relatively dry or humid periods. Eh would be closely related to daily rainfall shortly before the measurement and to soil water content during the measurement. Differences in relative contents of Fe 2+ and Mn 2+ and in their distribution in the profiles are ascribable to natural drainage classes. Key words: oxidation-reduction potential (Eh), iron, manganese, hydromorphism, rainfall

Key words: dairy-sludge, saline effect, fertilization, acid soil
