Abstract
The aim of our study were to examine the anthropic influence on the soils from two marsh areas. All the studied soils have low cation exchange capacity, not exchangeable Al and unbalance among the exchangeables basis cations, with prevalence of Ca. The soils from the Xubia Marsh affected by urban wastes, contents of organic matter have a strong oscillations all along the year, low biological activity, low nitrogen content and accidentally high C/N relations. Soils affected by industrial activity show low contents of organic matter and very low nitrogen content. Heavy metals content is higher on these soils. Highest metal contents are shown in the soils placed close to metallurgic industry and in the Anthrosoles úrbicos. On the other way, soils of Ferreíras marsh do not show anthropic influence.
Key words: marsh soils, metal, pollution.
